St. James’s Day
After St. James’s Day (25.07) there is an iron nail in the hay, i.e. the hay must be made and people are preparing for harvesting the crops. "Hang up your scythe and take up the sickle," people used to say about St. James’s Day. After St. James’s Day, the joint working nights of girls began, where the girls made their presents to their future wedding guests together.
