Coastal wind and surf conditions in Estonia
The surf and wind map brings together observations from coastal weather stations around the Gulf of Finland, the Gulf of Riga and the western archipelago. Each marker shows the latest mean wind speed, maximum gust and water temperature, allowing surfers, sailors and other marine users to quickly identify favourable areas. Colour coding makes it easy to distinguish light breeze from strong gale‑force winds, while the direction icon indicates how the wind interacts with coastline orientation and local spots.
Because measurements are refreshed several times per hour, the map is suitable for same‑day decision‑making: selecting a safe harbour, planning a session length or choosing between down‑the‑line waves and flat‑water conditions. Combined with the national warnings page and city forecasts, this coastal overview provides a meteorologically robust picture of wind fields, wave generation potential and temperature gradients over the surrounding sea.
